Thursday October 29th FINALLY came! Jackson and Cannon ran into our room and pounced on our bed at 5 am cheering that "today is the day Uncle Spencer comes home!"
We patiently waited ALL day long (his plane didn't come in until 9:30 pm) and were so excited when the time finally came to hit the road to the airport.
My mom borrowed her friends 15 passenger van so we could all ride together... that in itself was a party, and I told Russ I can now see why his dream car was a Dodge Sprinter- think of the parties that could be had... all on the road:)
Heather, Jackson and Cannon blew up balloons on the drive- so the van was definitely a party on wheels!
Mom was so excited... she could hardly contain herself- as were the rest of us!!!
loaded up and ready to go! We brought "brother Ethan" too... (he is part of the fam, after all)
...waiting for the flight to come in...
while we were waiting at the escalators with our giant banner and balloons waiting and waiting, Elder Packer came up from behind us and surprised us:) !!!
My sister Lizzy lives in Boston, and was able to get her connecting flight from New York on the same plane as Spencer... infact, she booked her and her boys seats RIGHT NEXT TO SPENCERS... so she got to give the ultimate surprise and they got to fly into Tucson together!
here's my hunky little brother and me:)
and my cute little sister Lizzy, and her moch of a son, Andy!
Here's our family, minus Andrew (who is in his first year of law school & couldn't leave, we missed you SOOO much)
Jackson was so EXCITED to see his Uncle Spencer again! Uncle Spencer would always tell Jackson about the kids in the West Indies, and how much they enjoyed playing cricket... and Jack couldn't wait to have Spencer teach him how to play!
au reviour balloons!
We got our fun uncle and brother home safely who we adore!
